Village launches 50/50 parkway tree replacement program

The Village has launched a new initiative aimed at encouraging tree planting through the 50/50 Parkway Tree Replacement Program. This program allows residents to share the cost of a new tree with the Village, which will also handle the planting process.

Residents interested in having a parkway tree planted this fall are encouraged to reach out to Sharon in the Public Works department by calling 815-467-6644. The program is available until mid-November.

"With this program, the Village will split the cost of a tree with the resident and also take care of the planting," stated a representative from the Village.
