Channahon - Lawrence V. Turi, also known as "Larry," passed away peacefully at the Veterans' Home at Manteno on November 7, 2025, at the age of 82. Born in Chicago, IL to the late Lawrence J. and Dorothy June Turi, Larry is survived by his beloved wife Karen, children Pam and John, grandchildren Ryan, Bailey, Breanna, and great-grandchildren Daniel, Drake, and Dawson. He will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.

Larry, a distinguished U.S. Air Force veteran, will be remembered for his devotion to his roles as a husband, father, Papa, uncle, and friend. His memory will live on in the hearts of those he touched.

A Memorial Visitation for Lawrence Turi will be held at The Maple Funeral Home in Channahon on November 12, 2025, with a Prayer Service to follow. Interment, along with full Military Honors by the U.S. Air Force and the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery Memorial Squad, will take place at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery on November 13, 2025. Contributions in his memory can be made to the Veterans' Home at Manteno, the Minooka American Legion, or the Minooka Lions Club.
