The Channahon Police Department has launched its first annual Christmas food drive to benefit Stepping Stones Addiction and Mental Health Treatment Center. The initiative aims to collect non-perishable foods, personal care items, and new, unwrapped children's toys for individuals and families in need.

Community members are encouraged to participate by bringing donations to the Channahon Police Department lobby at 24555 S. Navajo Drive during business hours, Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The collection period runs until December 19, 2025.

In a statement, the department said, "This season, the police department is asking the community to join together to help individuals and families in our community find hope and support. Items needed include non-perishable foods, personal care items, and new, unwrapped children's toys."

"Your generosity can make a real difference this holiday season. Thank you for helping us support a great cause and spread kindness throughout our community!" the statement continued.

Stepping Stones Addiction and Mental Health Treatment Center provides services for those dealing with addiction and mental health issues in the area.
