MINOOKA – A new pet care business, Furry Haven Premium Pet Care, has opened in Minooka. The Channahon Minooka Chamber celebrated the opening at Veterans Dog Park with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on June 11. The event was attended by Minooka Mayor Ric Offerman.

The business is owned by Sarah Hughes, who has over ten years of experience in pet sitting. She offers various services including drop-in visits, walks, housesitting, pet transportation, medication administration, and extended trips to the dog park.

“We understand the importance of your furry family member no matter the size or the species,” Hughes said in a press release. “We offer constant updates and pictures so it feels like you’re never too far away.”

Furry Haven Premium Pet Care employs two staff members and serves Will, Grundy, and Kendall County areas. Hughes specializes in senior pet care and farm animals. The business operates Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m.

“Pets are family," said Chamber President & CEO Christina Van Yperen. "Sarah and her team understand that taking the utmost care of your furry loved ones is important. It is such a relief for families to know someone like Sarah is caring for them as though they are her own.”
