Morris Hospital extends urgent care hours at three regional locations

Morris Hospital & Healthcare Centers has announced that its urgent care locations in Channahon, Diamond, and Morris will now operate with extended hours. Starting December 1, 2025, the new schedule for these urgent care centers is from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on weekdays and from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekends.

The urgent care centers provide walk-in services for non-life-threatening conditions such as coughs, sore throats, flu-like symptoms, mild sprains and strains, headaches, earaches, rashes, minor cuts and scrapes, allergy symptoms, asthma flare-ups, foreign object removal, bites and stings, and concussion symptoms. Patients are treated by physicians or advanced practice providers.

The urgent care facilities are located at the Morris Hospital Ridge Road Campus in Channahon (27240 W. Saxony Drive), the Morris Hospital Diamond-Coal City Campus in Diamond (1450 E. Division St.), and at the Diagnostic & Rehabilitative Center of Morris Hospital in Morris (100 W. Gore Road).

These three locations remain closed only on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Day each year. On Christmas Eve, New Year’s Eve, Memorial Day, July 4th, and Labor Day they operate with reduced hours from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Morris Hospital & Healthcare Centers operates across 28 sites in the region. The organization includes an 89-bed hospital along with physician offices in multiple communities such as Braidwood, Channahon, Diamond-Coal City, Dwight, Gardner, Marseilles, Mazon, Minooka, Morris itself, Newark, Ottawa and Seneca. More than 1,900 healthcare professionals work within the system offering services like cardiac intervention through a modern catheterization lab; cancer treatment at a radiation therapy center; orthopedic procedures using robotic-arm assisted surgery; intensive care services; integrated behavioral health within primary care; Level II perinatal care; and primary stroke center capabilities.
