The Morris Hospital Auxiliary will hold its annual golf outing on September 22 at The Creek golf course in Morris. The event is open to the public, who can participate by golfing, attending dinner, or making a donation. Proceeds from the outing will go toward the Morris Hospital Patient Transportation program.
Golfer registration and lunch are scheduled from 11 a.m. to noon, followed by an 18-hole round of golf. The cost for participation is $150 per person or $540 for a foursome, which includes lunch and dinner. For those interested only in the dinner reception, tickets are available for $25 per person, with dinner beginning at 5 p.m.
Funds raised from this event will be used to purchase replacement buses for the hospital’s patient transportation service. This program provides free non-emergent rides to medical appointments for patients who cannot drive or have limited mobility. Since its inception in 1998, most of the vehicles have been funded by the Morris Hospital Auxiliary and Foundation. All drivers and assistants involved in patient transportation volunteer their time.
Sponsorships play a significant role in supporting the event. Current sponsors include the Morris Hospital Medical Staff at the $5,000 “Top Flite” level; Block Electric Company, Grundy Bank, Old National Bank, and The Horton Group-A business of Marsh McLennan Marsh & McLennan Agency LLC at the $2,500 “Eagle” level; and CACi, Hall Prangle LLC, Joliet Junior College, and Low Voltage Solutions Inc at the $1,000 “Driver” level.
Reservations for golf or dinner can be made online by September 8 or by calling the Morris Hospital Auxiliary Office at 815-705-7024.
