Morris Hospital enhances billing services following patient feedback

John Wilcox Vice President, Information Technology | Morris Hospital & Healthcare Centers

In a move aimed at enhancing patient experience, Morris Hospital has announced updates to its billing services. The changes come in response to feedback from patients and are designed to streamline the billing process.

Patients who were on an automated payment plan before November 11, 2024, will be contacted by the hospital to establish new plans due to changes in merchants and vendors. These patients can expect a phone call and an updated statement with important information regarding their payment plans.

The hospital has introduced several enhancements for all patients:

- Statements now feature a new design for improved readability and include a Quick Pay QR code for easier payments and access to the online billing platform.

- A new online billing platform offers quick, easy, and secure access without requiring passwords. It allows patients to manage payments, set up automatic payment plans, opt for electronic statement delivery, and securely store financial details.

- Digital communication options have been expanded to include text, email, and web chat. The hospital also remains available by phone with increased staffing knowledgeable in healthcare to reduce wait times.

Patients can continue paying bills through the Morris Hospital patient portal or via mail, phone, or in person at the cashier's window.

The hospital expressed gratitude towards its patients: "As always, thank you for choosing Morris Hospital as your healthcare provider. We look forward to continuing to serve you."
