295 white students enrolled in N.B. Galloway Elementary School in 2022-23 school year

There were 295 white students enrolled in N.B. Galloway Elementary School in the 2022-23 school year, 4.5% less than the previous year, according to the Illinois State Board of Education report.

Data showed that the school welcomed 375 students during the 2022-23 school year. Among them, white students comprised 78.7% of the student body to be the most represented ethnicity in the school.

The school is located in Channahon School District 17 with a central office in Channahon.

Among the four schools in Channahon School District 17, N.B. Galloway Elementary School recorded the highest enrollment of white students in the 2022-23 school year, with a total of 375 students.

Illinois registered one of the largest enrollment drops during the pandemic. Since 2020, the Prarie State lost nearly 118,000 students, further intensifying a decline trend established since 2013.
